One of our outstanding parent volunteers spent her days visiting with our learners last week to share with them the joys of reading with the Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge. The challenge continues through September 9 and is a great way to encourage reading throughout the summer. Learners can unlock various digital rewards, games and fun activities on the easy-to-use child-friendly website. The goal is 30-40 minutes of reading time per day. Learners can read any text they feel comfortable with. If the learner’s username and password are lost, you can retrieve them from your facilitator.
