iLEAD Lancaster to Resume On-Site Learning Five Days Per Week
Hello, iLEAD Lancaster Families,
I am happy to be reaching out to you with some good news for our learning community.
First, I want to thank each of you for adapting to the changes in our learning schedules since March of last year. I know how challenging this year has been for parents, guardians, learners and staff alike. I am grateful we have worked through it all together, keeping in mind what’s best for learners — and that we continue to do so.
We have closely monitored the state’s rapidly changing school reopening guidelines. As you know, this week Governor Newsom and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LACDPH) indicated that we have moved to the Orange Tier. This provides us the opportunity to transition back to full-day classes on campus. As a result, we are excited to announce that starting Tuesday, April 13, we will welcome back all learners to campus five days per week, Monday through Friday.
Unfortunately, with this transition, we need to update schedules again. Learners who choose to attend in person will come to campus until noon each day and then participate in online learning for Intervention and Design Tech from 12:30-3:00 PM at home. Learners who choose to remain in full-time distance learning will have the opposite schedule. Be on the lookout for additional scheduling information from your child’s facilitator prior to our return from spring break.
We look forward to the safe return of all our learners and staff to in-person learning. Thank you for partnering with us to keep your child, our staff, and all our families healthy. We know it will take a few days to adapt to the new routine, and we look forward to working with you toward a successful transition after spring break.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your facilitator or the school office, and we will be happy to assist you.
With gratitude,
Nykole Kent
iLEAD Lancaster Director
